Hey fam! I hope you all had the best weekend. Mine was filled with productive, adulting things like doing my taxes, making a budget, and meal prepping. I really hope all of your weekends were more *fun*! On the subject of fun, I have tried a few new products lately that I really love and wanted to share. I love trying new products and reading new product find posts, so I hope you guys do too!
I used to get Birchbox but stopped for the time being because I have too many travel sized products. I do highly recommend it if you travel pretty often, or are interested in getting to try new products before buying. I’ve found some of my favorite products through Birchbox!
Carbon Coco: My roommate’s boyfriend told me about activated charcoal toothpaste for teeth whitening. I didn’t believe him at first, but I started noticing how white his teeth were after a few brushes. I decided to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised. It’s a multi-step process, but it’s super easy and quick. You dip your toothbrush into the charcoal, then brush for 2 minutes. I was expecting the charcoal to taste weird, but it was completely tasteless. It did feel a little weird, so if you are sensitive to texture, I wouldn’t recommend the charcoal route. Next, you’ll brush your teeth with the toothpaste for 2 minutes before rinsing. Both the toothpaste and charcoal are black, so it looks pretty funny when you’re brushing, but don’t worry – it will come off!
I’ve used Carbon Coco a few times now and feel like I’ve noticed whiter teeth! I will note that I am most definitely not a dentist, but I love having the option to keep my teeth looking white, and definitely recommend it!
Dr. Jart Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment: I first read about this on Jaclyn Mittman’s blog post ‘The Color Correcting Treatment That Completely Replaced My Foundation‘. Definitely worth the read andddd the investment that is this product. It’s seriously worked wonders! I’ve actually been wearing this every single day since I got it, and you can noticeably tell that your skin transforms. It’s pretty thick when applying, and goes on green, but turns beige after settling. I’ve always had dark circles under my eyes, but when I use this, it’s like I’ve used concealer. I really have started skipping foundation altogether when I use this stuff. It’s perfect for a natural everyday look! Plus, your skin needs a break from heavy foundation every once in a while, so this is a nice option for when you’re giving your skin a break.
Kona Slip-On Loafer Mules in White: I think I actually wore these every day this weekend. They’re just so easy and perfectly spruce up any outfit for warmer weather. These are officially my third pair of mules that I own. After my first pair, I had to keep buying more. They’re my go-to ‘quick’ shoe because they seem to go with almost everything and are easy to just slip on and off. I’ve always loved to be barefoot, so these are perfect for sliding on and off when I want. I have a feeling I’ll be wearing these way too often this summer. Not to mention, they’re still perfectly white and I’ve been wearing them a lot. Definitely a good sign of how they will wear!
Black Wood Praiano Outdoor Occasional Bench: I finally took the plunge and ordered this patio couch that I’ve been eyeing for months. It first came out in the wood color, and that’s why I hadn’t ordered it yet. When I saw it came out in black, I had to have it. I’ve been pleasantly surprised with World Market! It got to my house about a week after I ordered it. It required assembly, but my roommate and I were able to easily read the instructions and install it. The reviews online said the cushions were a bit hard, but I think it’s super comfortable (and I’m a soft bed person)! Overall, it’s such a bang for your buck. Such a good price for the quality received! Big fan.
Leith Jeans: I found them during the last sale at Nordstrom! I had actually gone to the store looking for a more expensive pair, but after trying on a bunch of brands and fits (under the $120 range), I landed with these. They seriously fit and feel similar to some designer jeans that I have. I got them in a dark blue wash, but it looks like they still have them in a lighter grey wash! I’d also recommend trying on more jeans from this brand if you’re interested in trying them out! I know I’ve been wanting to try another pair!
La Labo ‘The Noir 29’ Eau de Parfum: My co-worker told me about Le Labo a few months back after I noticed how great her perfume smelled! There is a store in downtown Dallas, so I decided to stop by with my roommate. Each of their scents are unisex and are natural and airy. Some smell a little more woody, where others smell more floral. Each of their scents smells differently once mixed with your skin, so I definitely recommend going to the store to try, or ordering from a store like Nordstrom, who has a great return policy. I’ve been obsessed with the scent ever since I got it and I can’t stop wanting to wear it. My roommate’s favorite is Another 13!
Steve Madden Editor Block Heel Bootie: When I first bought these, I almost returned them because they are pretty tall. I decided to give them a whirl one day, and after wearing them around, I decided I loved them. They were relatively comfortable considering how tall they are. After I decided to keep them, I wore them out the next three nights and was fine wearing them all night long. Now, I can’t stop wearing them. They perfectly *spring* up any outfit!
Wrap Dresses: I’ve been loving both wrap dresses and wrap skirts lately! They just fit me so well and are so flattering. I only have this blue wrap dress and this black wrap dress, but I’ve been eyeing so many more. I know that I’ll slowly start to add more to my closet this summer. I rounded up a bunch of my favorite wrap dresses the other day in this post if you guys didn’t get a chance to check it out!
What are some of y’alls favorites? Let me know if there is anything you guys want me to try out – I am always looking for something new 🙂
