I promise I have a good excuse why I didn’t post my Townhouse Thursday yesterday! I work for rewardStyle, and we just launched our LIKEtoKNOW.it app this week! If you haven’t download it yet, you definitely should. If you see a photo with the LIKEtoKNOW.it link in the caption, you can actually screenshot your favorite images (anywhere), and all of the shoppable content will show up in your app! Meaning, when you take a screenshot of something you love, you can open the LIKEtoKNOW.it app, and the image will show up just the way you saw it before, but will also give you the links to all of the items featured in their photo so that you can shop it! You can learn more about it here!
You’ll probably hear me talk more about rewardStyle + LIKEtoKNOW.it in future posts, but the company is seriously so cool. We even have our own hashtag – #rStheFamily – and have some pretty cool company parties. So back to yesterday. For the app launch, every employee at rewardStyle – from Dallas, to San Mateo, to London, and Shanghai, went on a pub crawl to spread the word. We placed stickers around the city and made sure everyone could hear about the app (we may or may not have all shouted from the rooftop at a few different locations). So, that was my Thursday, and you could imagine how Thursday night ended #goodnight
So, it’s Friday night and i’m hanging out with you guys 😉
Guess what…..GOOD NEWS! It’s officially official – we’ve closed! If anyone doesn’t know what this means and you’re saying ‘wait, what? I thought you guys already had the townhouse.’ It’s actually a multiple step process. First, you put in an offer, if they accept, then you pay the down payment. The down payment is essentially just a ‘holding’ fee until you’re ready to close. In our case, we were waiting on the townhouse to be ready until we finally closed. This past week it was ‘close enough’ to close, so we went ahead and bit the bullet!
We’re not fully ready to move in yet. We still need our wine fridge, laundry room pan, a set of door handles, a shower door, and a mirror or two in the bathrooms, but everything else is there. It’s seriously one of the best feelings – knowing that you have a house. Y’all I have a little yard, and a home for my car (the garage obvi), a living room thats wall doesn’t connect to my bedroom, a doorbell – and most importantly, my pup has a place to call his home for a long time 🙂
Another bonus to all of this excitement – we got professional photos of the townhouse, so you all can really see what the space looks like. Keep in mind that we haven’t moved in yet, so there isn’t any furniture, decor, etc. Because of that, and because I know y’all don’t want to look at an empty room, i’m just going to show you guys the living + kitchen space and the half bath. Let me know what you all think in the comments!
