Alright guys – when I say that I felt like a total badass in this outfit, you better believe it’s true. Better yet, it’s workwear approved!
For anyone that knows me, and for you guys that are hopefully getting to know me, I’m one of those people that will sit in my closet naked for 20 minutes deciding what to wear in the morning. I will try on 4 different outfits and continue to try something on until I feel pretty in what I’m wearing that day.
Yes, yes, guys we know we have so many clothes – but nothing is making me feel like I look beautiful at that particular time I’m putting it on – ladies you know what I mean!
I was skeptical of pants like these drawstring ones at first, but when you put them on, they seriously just tie everything together and are perfect for the workday. Better yet – they feel like you have sweatpants on, but you can wear them to the office, or out!
I have about 3 pairs of drawstring pants now, and have been dying to buy more! H&M and Zara both have very comfortable, flattering, and affordable options, so I’d definitely recommend checking out both of their selections!
Now, I’m 5’4″, have a small waist, but I definitely have a pear shaped body! My roommate is 5’7″ and has more of a rectangle shaped body, with skinny long legs, or as she describes herself, “a fluffy stick”……
Okay, not gonna lie, my roommate and I just laughed at that for a good 10 minutes.
Anyway, these pants look great on both of our body types!
Now, this top is from H&M as well! I bought it last Spring and absolutely LOVE the fringe details. It really gives this look the extra oomph it needs! It’s not in stock right now, but I’ve linked some alternatives below!
At work, we’re allowed to dress casual all of the time, which is amazing! However, I used to have to dress business casual and/or business professional at my last job! This look was definitely approved for the office, and I still love to wear it out.
One of the companies I worked at that I had to dress professionally was in NYC – if you haven’t read that by now – I used to work in NYC during the summers in college! So, walking to work was a must and these shoes seriously made my life those summers. These wedges are SO light and I could actually run in them if I wanted to (although I rarely choose to do so…haha!) They are Giana Bini and I’d highly recommend if anyone was looking for a good work wedge!
