New York Fashion Week is only a couple of weeks away! I can’t believe how quickly it snuck up on me this year. It will be my first Fashion Week, and I’ll actually be there for work.
Luckily, I work with other bloggers, so I can’t wait to hear about all of the shows. My work will have its own party, so I’ll definitely give you guys an update on that when I’m back from New York! If you guys didn’t know this, I actually used to live in New York in college during the summer to intern. It’s a city that is so close to my heart and I always love going back. I’ll have to get up a New York City Travel Guide one of these days so I can share all of my favorites. They say that if you visited a different restaurant in New York 3 times a day, you wouldn’t go through all of them for at least 10 years, but then there would be new ones, so you’d never be able to do it – it’s crazy!
Because NYFW is coming up so quickly, I’ve been quickly scanning a few different online sites trying to find something that stood out to me. When I think of what I should be wearing to fashion week, I think it needs to be something that is so unusual or something that really looks different. Obviously, sometimes those things are hard to come by, so scouring the internet it is. When I’m trying to look for something different I typically head to Storets, H&M, ASOS, Shopbop, Anthropologie, Free People, and Urban Outfitters. One thing you might not hear about is wearing comfortable clothes. With shows all over the city, we’ll be running from place to place – or in my case, from meeting to meeting – so comfortable shoes is a must-have.
This Fall, I’m expecting to see tons of metallics, embroidered jeans, tops, and jackets, fringed or ripped denim, bomber and moto jackets, a variety of booties and knee-high boots, culottes, and paired sets. I will definitely let you know what we see on the runway so you guys can all be ready for Fall.
New York will still be pretty hot when we’re there, so I’m also trying to find items that would be easy to throw a jacket over, but still give off a Fall feel!
If you won’t be able to attend this year for the amazing people watching or the shows, it’s super easy to live stream from any social outlet searching the hashtags #NYFW and #newyorkfashionweek! Plus you can also Livestream some of the shows from home.
Everything I’ve listed below is less than $200 and could be easily worn again this fall!
