We come to New York each year to have a pop-up HQ, host a LIKEtoKNOW.it party, and met with our influencers. I help other bloggers monetize their site with rewardStyle’s technology and best practices for each individual site. It’s so fun meeting and chatting with other bloggers!
Because we were in meetings or setting up for our own NYFW party, we didn’t have time to head into any of the shows. Honestly, the people watching is one of my favorite things to do – not only people watching, but outfit watching too. While we were there we saw Rhianna, Jesse Metcalfe, Jared Leto, and David Beckham all in SoHo!
We stayed at 11 Howard, and I couldn’t recommend it more. It was one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve stayed in, and it was right in the middle of everything. Plus the hotel bar is a super popular spot to go to at night, so if you want to grab a drink in a cool setting, you don’t really have to leave where you’re staying!
We only went Thursday through Sunday, but we all thought it was just enough time. Everything during NYFW is go, go, go, so it’s pretty non-stop until you come back. If you ever decide to go, you’ll need a day or two to get back into the swing of your normal routine. Heck, I’m still tired! The weather while we were there (the weekend of September 10th) was perfect knee-high boots and a romper, jeans and a light jacket, etc. If you’re looking for a good time to go to NY I definitely recommend visiting in September!
I wore this jumpsuit and this fringe cardigan while traveling on Thursday. Our flight was at 6 AM, so I wanted something that was cute and presentable in front of my co-workers but was basically pajamas. To say I’m obsessed with this jumpsuit is an understatement.
When we got there on Thursday, we had lunch at By Chloe. I’m not a veggie person, but I had a veggie burger and air-fried fries, and they were both so good – and healthy! From there, I got ready for my first meeting.
Since it was one of my short meeting days and it was during the day, I decided to go for the all ruffle look. I wore a ruffle wrap skirt and this blush ruffle top. I paired my outfit with these sandals! A few co-workers and I had a dinner meeting and had some amazing sushi at Blue Ribbon by Columbus Circle. Pro tip – if the Uber says it’s going to take an hour, take the subway and you’ll be there in no time 😉
Thursday night, a couple of friends and I decided to go out for a few drinks at The Blond. It was a cool bar, but pretty pricey. Friday morning we had to be up early to help set up our HQ. We rented out the penthouse at Hotel on Rivington – the views were absolutely breathtaking.
I wore my gingham ruffled high-waisted pants, a high-neck black sleeveless top, a velvet bomber jacket, and these knock-off mules. I ended my day with a dinner meeting at PUBLIC Kitchen – their appetizers do not disappoint, and yes, I will be going back. PUBLIC is also a hotel, and it looked super nice for what I could see. We didn’t stay here, but based on its reviews and what I could tell by the lobby, patio, and kitchen, it’s got my vote so far!
Friday was an early night because we had another full day of meetings on Saturday! I wore this fun fringe two-piece set. It’s actually a romper with a jacket overlay. It’s a bit summery/springy, but pairing it with over the knee boots really makes it work for the Fall! I ordered true to size and it’s supposed to fit pretty baggy. It’s from Free People, and I literally just bought it, but it’s already sold out! Here is a similar two-piece set that I would recommend.
Saturday for lunch I ate at NoMo SoHo Kitchen. It’s a lively spot for lunch, it’s got a beautiful patio, a DJ, a fun bar, and good eats. This restaurant is also a hotel that I bet would be really cool to stay in. It’s right across from the 11 Howard, which is where we stayed, and that area was perfect – and super close to all of the shops 🙂
Saturday night we had our LIKEtoKNOW.it rooftop party at La Sirena. We decked out the venue with palm leaves and lights, along with our DJ + saxophone duo. The venue itself was beautiful, and I’d definitely recommend it for any large event. We fit about 300+ people in the venue. I wore this black lace off the shoulder dress, which I’ve worn for a few other events. It’s one of my go-to’s! It was such a fun night meeting so many different influencers and was such a fun party.
Sunday morning we had some time to shop around and ate lunch at Mercer Kitchen in SoHo before we had to head back to the Airport. I wore a pair of denim overalls that I got from H&M forever ago, but here is a similar pair. I bought a pair of glasses like these from a street vendor (so New York), and paired it with a striped top. I’m heading back to New York in December, and will have to share a City Guide with you guys then!
