I stumbled upon this maxi dress during a sale at Nordstrom a few weeks ago. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw a Chloe dress for under $200! But oh was it real – but only for a week or so. It seriously sold out so quickly, I blinked and it was gone. Luckily, a few other retailers are selling it, so depending on your preference you can still find it here and here! I typically order a S or XS when it comes to dresses and range between a 0-2 and stuck with an XS for this one.
I have another white maxi dress, which you might have seen here, that I’m obsessed with. It fits like one of those T-shirts you used to wear to bed as a kid. You know those ones you stole from your dad that were entirely too big, but oh so soft. That’s how I feel about maxi dresses. Yet, every time I wear one, I feel like I look pretty nice! That’s the nice thing about maxis – they’re so effortlessly elegant!
I kid you not when I say this dress is a T-shirt. I’ve had some people ask me if it’s a top with a skirt, but surprise surprise, it’s a dress! Both the top and bottom are a Tshirt material, but the bottom has an overlay that looks like little eyelashes that make a design. The tie in the middle is like a thick shoelace which is perfect for making sure the dress is form fitting.
I’ve washed and dried this dress normally, and it still fits great. Of course, remember that cotton does shrink, so you’ll need a little bit of breathing room! I wore this for a daytime brunch with some friends and paired it with a pair of black wedges, black sunglasses, and my black purse. Of course, you can throw in some color if that’s your style too 🙂 Black really does go with everything!
Let me know what you guys think!
