When I think of Summer wear, I think of these white cotton pants. Yes, they might wrinkle somewhat easily, but they don’t wrinkle as badly as some other cotton pants I’ve tried, and they’re super comfortable. They roll up at the bottom and have a tie waist.
I found this blush pink and white striped off the shoulder top from Nordstrom. I’m so picky about off the shoulder tops, but I love how this one fits. The off the shoulder area has a sticky layer that helps it from riding up on your shoulders. It’s perfectly paired tucked into a pair of white cotton pants or shorts. What’s even better about this shirt? It’s only $35 and it comes in a black gingham print as well! Plus, Nordstrom offers free shipping and returns. I love this shirt, but be careful when you’re washing it – the pink color can bleed onto the white stripes and pom pom details. All you need to do is add a cup of vinegar into the wash to set the color.
I put this post together while I was in La Jolla, California for vacation and had packed this outfit to come along with me. It was much colder than we thought it would be at this time of the year. We heard about May gray and June gloom but thought we’d take our chances. It was cloudy almost every day we were there, and we were there a whole week. It was around 65 degrees and wayyyy too cold to head to the beach, unless you had a wetsuit. We hiked all over La Jolla and went to a few state parks. Plus, we got a chance to visit a couple breweries and wineries. We even checked out Coronado island. The day we visited was one of the sunniest days, so we played around on the beach and went shopping. Have you been to La Jolla? Let me know in the comments below!
