4th of July is actually my favorite holiday – I love everything about it. The fireworks, getting everyone together, day drinking, being by the lake, even the heat. So about a month before, I start searching for 4th of July outfits. I pretty much celebrate the whole week, so I have to have a few different items to wear! Plus it’s so easy to pick a white dress and pair it with blue or red accessories or shoes.
I am not going to lie, I already own a lot of blue, and white. Blue and white are two of my favorite colors. So for me, it’s pretty easy to wear something I already own, but any excuse to get a new outfit and I’m in.
The nicest part about dressing for 4th of July is that, if you pick the right outfit, you can wear it again easily. The key is to buy subtle colored items that you can add to. When you buy something that has the American flag print on it, it’s much harder to integrate into your every day. If you buy a white lace jumpsuit, you can wear it all summer! Then, for the 4th, add in some red earrings, or a blue purse!
I shopped around for a few hours at some of my favorite stores looking for the items I’ve listed below. The majority of them are dresses, jumpsuits, or rompers. I typically find the less fabric + items, the better during the heat. So, dresses, jumpsuits, and rompers are super easy to throw on and walk around in all day. Forewarning, there are way too many good things for this holiday, so be prepared for a hefty list of favorites!
Every year on the 3rd of July my hometown has a big fireworks show in our town square. My parents head to the square over a day before to save our spot on the lawn. We always stay in the same area and the views are always so good. We bring a cooler and just hang out there all day until the show starts – it’s a fun family tradition! What are y’alls plans for the 4th? Comment below, I want to hear!
